A bit late in posting this short trip…
Having just purchased a Telta drive-away awning for the Campervan we wanted to test it out and decide if we would take it with us on our Scandinavian trip.
We booked Long Meadow farm campsite at Shaldon, near Teignmouth for Wednesday and Thursday nights. The site is a medium walk from Shaldon but has stunning views across the River Teign estuary.
Facilities were fine and the owners very helpful and friendly.
The same cannot be said of our reception at The Shipwright arms. The owner or manager opened up late, faffed around trying to play music on his CD player and was generally unfriendly as a stream of customers left what should be a lovely pub. Maybe he was just having a bad day…

I’ll leave a review for the awning on a separate post but here it is half built.

The main reason for our visit to Shaldon was to meet up with friends from Camping Rosaleda in Spain.
It was great to see John, Teen, Kevin and Julie for a long lunch at the Newton Abbot Wetherspoons!
View of the River Teign on our journey back from Newton Abbot.
