Chatsworth House CC site is one of the most popular in the country.
Slightly odd entrance sign welcoming everyone to Chatsworth. Well, almost everyone!
We had managed to book ourselves over a week here for the August Bank holiday weekend so the booking system worked out for us just fine. Well this year at least.
The campsite is situated beside the River Derwent, next to Chatsworth House and about 20 minutes walk from the town of Baslow which boasts a number of Public Houses, at least one hotel, a cafe and Italian restaurant.
The setting is stunning and the facilities the best we have encountered so far in Europe.
Our fully serviced pitch included fresh water, electricity, TV point, grey waste and even it’s own chemical toilet disposal point.
The latter item seemed a little gratuitous but was appreciated nevertheless.
The toilet block is modern and decorated / tiled to a very high standard and specification.
