The weather is a little different in this part of Spain. The high today was around 30 degrees but overnight, the temperatures have been falling to around 13 – 14 degrees. A late afternoon thunderstorm covered us in hail and the temperature dropped sharply by 10 degrees before recovering to the mid-20s for the evening BBQ.<\/p>\n

We set off on our round-the-lake cycle ride in the morning – not quite early enough as we were still on the road in the midday heat.<\/p>\n

Apart from the first 1\/2 mile (which was not really suitable for bikes), the rest of the journey was on a decent track around the lake. We returned on the road from Ruidera to make things a little easier. Total trip was about 21km.<\/p>\n
